Keep the world harsh. Keep the community fair.
Server style: survival first
Box-Fort Apocalypse is a light-story survival server. Character stories and factions are welcome, but they are never mandatory. PvP and KOS are part of the server.
PvP & KOS are allowed
You do not need to give a warning before attacking another player. Ambushes, hostile encounters and fights over supplies or territory are allowed. PvP does not excuse real-world harassment or abuse.
No cheating, exploiting or duplication
No hacks, injected tools, item duplication, deliberate bug abuse or other methods that create an unfair advantage. Do not use exploits to enter bases or win fights.
No combat logging
Do not disconnect to escape a fight, death or the immediate consequences of a hostile encounter.
Raiding and theft are allowed—griefing is not
Raiding, theft and hostile faction play are part of the server. Repeated destruction carried out only to ruin another player's experience, blocking essential access or using exploits to bypass normal gameplay can be treated as griefing.
Respect other players
In-game hostility stays in the game. Racism, hate speech, threats, targeted harassment, bullying and repeated toxic behaviour are not tolerated.
Character backstories are optional, but preferred
You can join and play without submitting a backstory. If you enjoy creating a survivor identity and history, the website character form is there for you.
Factions and groups are welcome
Form alliances, build a reputation, claim a home area, trade or go to war. Faction claims do not give ownership of the server or permission to ignore the wider rules.
Do not deliberately damage server performance
Avoid abusive object spam, intentionally excessive fires, pathological vehicle piles or other actions designed to create lag or instability.
Admin decisions & common sense
Admins may act on behaviour that clearly damages the server or community even if every possible situation is not written word-for-word here. Discord announcements are the final source for rule clarifications.
